Weddings Band - Your Special Day

By Jessica Hemmings

Have you ever thought of booking a weddings band? The answer is not many people have. Most people see it as an afterthought the wedding entertainment and just book a local DJ but the whole wedding day is a special occasion and should not be spoiled in any way.

You probably want not just yourself but your guests to remember your special day for many years to come. A weddings band could be the answer to really ensuring your day is just that little bit extra special.

The one stumbling block for some people when considering having a live band play at their wedding is the cost of the whole band.

Your first thoughts may be that the cost is considerably more than what you would pay the old faithful DJ. Of course, the cost is relative and as a band usually consists of two to six players who all need paying for their part, this is going to be the case. You do, after all, get what you pay for.

As far as individual earnings go, each band member is likely to earn less than the DJ as the fee you pay has to be divided between all the musicians equally. There is, of course, more equipment involved with a full band, not simply the mobile disco so the cost will be higher in total, but overall it does represent the musical entertainment you will be provided with.

Weddings bands are often thought to be more appropriate as far as professionalism is concerned for weddings where a formal atmosphere is required. It's great because it doesn't matter whether you are looking for background or lively dancing music, weddings bands cover it all and can create the exact ambiance you desire.

So how do you find a weddings band to play at your wedding? It's easy really. Simply perform an on line search for weddings bands you will be amazed at what appears on the screen in front of your eyes. Go through the result, listen to any musical videos and check out the testimonials written by people who have previously hired the bands. This will help you choose the right band for your special day.

You can find almost for sure how a good a band is for yourself if you go to one of their local gigs. The locations are normally posted on their website if not just ring them up and ask them. You are your best judge when it comes to the music you want played at your wedding.

One last thing - a live music license is required for weddings bands to play, so make sure the venue of your event has this organized. Overlooking one small detail like this may mess up your whole day and you really don't want that to happen, do you?
